Poke is a budding entrepreneur looking to make her own way in the world of business! Using her experience as a head host at a venue, she looks to open her own business even though she has no idea she would even sell or what services she would offer. Shes always on the prowl for the next big thing to try to open her business!Throughout her life she has been called many things, but one description seems to follow her everywhere: shortstack. Short in stature but wide of hips.

Despite her attempts to better herself and get more experience, she is quite naïve and gets herself into some more interesting situations. She is always welcome to talk to most people and takes compliments well!

A cute and curious Miqo'te with a knack for adventure and trying out new things and meet new people but lacks the assertiveness to do so. Not soft-spoken or boisterous, she says what needs to be said but will not pass up the chance to keep the conversation going.Due to her past, she is wary to get into deep relationships choosing to keep them shallow unless she finds them to be extremely trustworthy. Because of her curiosity however, she does like to try anything once in every aspect of her life.

Whether a boon or not, she can be quite the airhead due to her inexperience in the city. She is very gullible when she is learning new things things. And she has a tendency to believe things that she has not experienced herself and has gotten herself in trouble more than once. On these occasions, She has been called a good girl but cannot figure out what they mean by it.

History

Poke has had a hard and difficult life that brought her to where she is now. Born as X'cammu Luma, she grew up in a tribe located in the rocky areas of Gyr Abania. Her tribe was much more introverted than most others of her kind, which, by Seeker of the Sun standards, was considered extremely introverted. Upon becoming the leader of the tribe, her father sowed discord among its members, leading to the death of all the other males in the tribe, as they fought amongst themselves and killed each other off. Subsequently, to secure his rule from ever being challenged, he eliminated any remaining males, including all of the other Nuhns, Tias, and any male children.He kept the females of the tribe to himself and manipulated the minds of any males that were born, ensuring they would never contemplate overthrowing him or forming their own tribes. To prevent inbreeding issues, he only allowed them to leave the tribe to bring in and sire females from other tribes when he deemed it necessary to diversify the gene pool. These females would be kept until they gave birth, at which point they were given the choice to assimilate with the tribe or disappear without a trace. This authoritarian rule instilled fear, and her father's law was absolute.

Approximately 20 years later, Poke was born. During her youth, Poke displayed a curiosity that surpassed that of other children in her tribe. Even at a young age, she often asked her mother questions about their way of life, why it was the way it was, and why her father was always surrounded by the other females in the tribe. Her mother's response was consistently, 'That's just the way things are,' but this did little to satisfy her curiosity. When she reached breeding age, she was taken to her father and her chastity was taken. This act would forever change her life and serve as the catalyst for her future.Unsatisfied with her life, she began to conspire with her childhood friend, X'phar Tia, the only person she felt she could still confide in, to leave the tribe and form their own, with X’phar as the leader. The pair had known each other almost since birth, and a romantic relationship had developed between them over the years. This bond grew even closer when, one night, away from her father's watchful eyes, they cemented their fate by being together.

However, on the eve of their planned escape, X'phar betrayed her, revealing their plan to her father. To make an example for the rest of the tribe, her father executed X'phar in front of them all. Poke narrowly escaped her father's wrath because her mother intervened and provided her with a chance to flee. Torn from her tribe and the only life she had ever known, she was forced into the unknown world alone. Alone and with not a gil to her name, she had did whatever was necessary to live, selling her services as well as her body to put food in her mouth. Her exile led her across much of Eorzea and eventually to the Far East and the city of Kugane. She knew that if her father ever found her, she would either be killed or, worse, returned to her tribe. To conceal her identity and the trauma she had endured, she adopted the persona of Poke Chan. The name was inspired by a friendly girl with the last name 'Chan' in the city who would feed her when she was downtrodden. The girl would poke her awake and say 'poke,' hence the origin of her first name. This girl became a guiding light that helped her get back on her feet and continue with her life.While she remains guarded and mistrustful around new people, she can't suppress her curious nature. Poke has continued to move from one job to another, including working as a waitress, dancer, and escort, before becoming a traveling dancer and working at the Ten no Ji when they are open. Despite this, she still takes on small other jobs on the side.

Now, she has aspirations of having her own business and offering a place for people who are down on their luck a place to live and thrive. Her past remains a closely guarded secret, and she hopes to one day find someone with whom she can truly share it.

Popoke Poke, affectionately known as Poke Chan, is a Dunesfolk Lalafell determined to make her mark on the world.Born into a merchant family, she had the opportunity to travel to various places across the world, from Old Sharleyan to the Far East. Her father, a renowned merchant, constantly relocated the family, exposing Poke to diverse experiences and cultures. Despite her father's success, he had a few vices, including a gambling addiction. Her mother, a simple woman who met her husband during his adventures, remained devoted to him no matter the circumstances.As Poke grew older, it became evident that she had inherited her father's business acumen. By the age of 10, her father's plan was for her to eventually take over the family business.Unfortunately, the good times would not last forever. Around the age of 12, a nobleman developed an unhealthy obsession with Poke. It was not only her intelligence that captivated him but also her developing figure, particularly her widening hips. Exploiting her father's gambling addiction, the nobleman orchestrated a rigged gambling game. Knowing her father would accept without question, he hired a con-man to act as the dealer

and ensure his victory, plunging Poke's father into insurmountable debt. In exchange for forgiving the debt, the nobleman offered to take Poke as collateral, making her work in his home until her family could pay a discounted amount. Left with no other choice, Poke's parents reluctantly agreed, and she was sent to live with the nobleman.From the moment she arrived, the nobleman assigned Poke to work as his personal maid, primarily tending to his quarters. Despite her circumstances, Poke blossomed into a beautiful young woman, often described as a shortstack due to her short stature and wide hips. With a constant smile on her face, she diligently performed her duties. In her limited free time, she continued to engage in secret business deals, utilizing her business acumen whenever possible. However, she knew that these circumstances were not sustainable in the long run.

As Poke matured, the nobleman's true intentions were revealed. He began to demand she wear increasingly revealing uniforms and subjected her to his unwanted advances. What initially seemed like a one-time incident escalated into a pattern of abuse, as he continued to exploit her for his own desires and needs.Despite the challenges she faced, Poke managed to turn the situation to her advantage. Leveraging her physical attractiveness and charm, she negotiated deals that would aid her pursuit of freedom and financial independence.While Poke endured her ordeal, her parents worked tirelessly to gather the money needed to free her from the nobleman's clutches. However, the nobleman, using his connections and influence, obstructed their efforts and deliberately sabotaged her father's business, making it increasingly difficult for the family to accumulate the necessary funds.Eventually, they managed to gather the required amount, only to be met with disappointment when the nobleman denied their plea, claiming the debt had accumulated interest beyond their means. Infuriated by their audacity, Poke's father confronted the nobleman, resulting in a violent altercation where her father was struck down by one of the nobleman's guards.Summoned by the nobleman, Poke was confronted with the cruel consequences that awaited those who defied him. With a display of menacing power, he seized the family's hard-earned money and callously dismissed them, ominously predicting Poke's eventual return, now that she had experienced his "charms." Devastated, the family returned home, broken and grieving.

Back at home, Poke's father's health rapidly declined, burdened by unfulfilled dreams. In his final moments, he entrusted Poke with the task of rebuilding the family business and caring for her mother. Overwhelmed with grief yet filled with an unwavering resolve, she vowed to honor her father's dying wish.Mourning her father's passing and providing comfort to her grieving mother, Poke embarked on the challenging journey of resurrecting and expanding their merchant enterprise. Despite the nobleman's ongoing attempts to hinder her progress, she utilized every resource available to her, employing her business acumen, physical allure, and shrewd negotiation skills.Over time, Poke's merchant business began to thrive, gradually restoring the family's reputation and financial stability. However, she knew that her journey was far from over. Driven by unwavering dedication, she persisted in her pursuit of success, determined to leave her mark on the world and fulfill her father's legacy.
