Poke has had a hard and difficult life that brought her to where she is now. Born as X'cammu Luma, she grew up in a tribe located in the rocky areas of Gyr Abania. Her tribe was much more introverted than most others of her kind, which, by Seeker of the Sun standards, was considered extremely introverted. Upon becoming the leader of the tribe, her father sowed discord among its members, leading to the death of all the other males in the tribe, as they fought amongst themselves and killed each other off. Subsequently, to secure his rule from ever being challenged, he eliminated any remaining males, including all of the other Nuhns, Tias, and any male children.He kept the females of the tribe to himself and manipulated the minds of any males that were born, ensuring they would never contemplate overthrowing him or forming their own tribes. To prevent inbreeding issues, he only allowed them to leave the tribe to bring in and sire females from other tribes when he deemed it necessary to diversify the gene pool. These females would be kept until they gave birth, at which point they were given the choice to assimilate with the tribe or disappear without a trace. This authoritarian rule instilled fear, and her father's law was absolute.

Approximately 20 years later, Poke was born. During her youth, Poke displayed a curiosity that surpassed that of other children in her tribe. Even at a young age, she often asked her mother questions about their way of life, why it was the way it was, and why her father was always surrounded by the other females in the tribe. Her mother's response was consistently, 'That's just the way things are,' but this did little to satisfy her curiosity. When she reached breeding age, she was taken to her father and her chastity was taken. This act would forever change her life and serve as the catalyst for her future.Unsatisfied with her life, she began to conspire with her childhood friend, X'phar Tia, the only person she felt she could still confide in, to leave the tribe and form their own, with X’phar as the leader. The pair had known each other almost since birth, and a romantic relationship had developed between them over the years. This bond grew even closer when, one night, away from her father's watchful eyes, they cemented their fate by being together.

However, on the eve of their planned escape, X'phar betrayed her, revealing their plan to her father. To make an example for the rest of the tribe, her father executed X'phar in front of them all. Poke narrowly escaped her father's wrath because her mother intervened and provided her with a chance to flee. Torn from her tribe and the only life she had ever known, she was forced into the unknown world alone. Alone and with not a gil to her name, she had did whatever was necessary to live, selling her services as well as her body to put food in her mouth. Her exile led her across much of Eorzea and eventually to the Far East and the city of Kugane. She knew that if her father ever found her, she would either be killed or, worse, returned to her tribe. To conceal her identity and the trauma she had endured, she adopted the persona of Poke Chan. The name was inspired by a friendly girl with the last name 'Chan' in the city who would feed her when she was downtrodden. The girl would poke her awake and say 'poke,' hence the origin of her first name. This girl became a guiding light that helped her get back on her feet and continue with her life.While she remains guarded and mistrustful around new people, she can't suppress her curious nature. Poke has continued to move from one job to another, including working as a waitress, dancer, and escort, before becoming a traveling dancer and working at the Ten no Ji when they are open. Despite this, she still takes on small other jobs on the side.

I like light!I have RPed off and on for years but now I want to really get into it with Final Fantasy. I'm still a little slow at some aspects but I am a very creative person.For ERP, it is something that I have to be in the mood for but most times it will likely be a yes. Poke is quite the curious cat and she is very willing to try anything once and if she's receptive at first... she is very easy to talk into things most times.
